Shares of GTL Infrastructure (up 3.30 per cent) , OnMobile Global (up 2.56 per cent) , Bharti Infratel (up 0.89 per cent) and ITI (up 0.81 per cent) were trading with gains.

Reliance Communications (down 4.99 per cent) , Tejas Networks<\/a> (down 3.03 per cent) , Vodafone Idea (down 1.52 per cent) and GTPL Hathway (down 1.43 per cent) were trading lower.

The S&P BSE Telecom index was trading 0.34 per cent up at 1019.31 around 12:26 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 45.15 points at 11,528.40 while the BSE Sensex was up 163.15 points at 38,396.56.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.
