NEW DELHI: Telecom<\/a> shares were trading on a mixed note in Friday's afternoon session.

Shares of Vodafone Idea (up 13.85 per cent), GTL Infrastructure<\/a> (up 3.51 per cent), GTPL Hathway<\/a> (up 1.40 per cent) and Himachal Futuristic Communications (up 1.33 per cent) were the top performers in the index.

GTL (down 5.35 per cent), Optiemus Infracom (down 4.99 per cent ), Aksh Optifibre (down 3.65 per cent ) and Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) (down 3.35 per cent) were trading lower.

The S&P BSE Telecom index was trading 0.09 per cent up at 943.74 around 11:51 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 17.40 points at 11,012 while the BSE Sensex was down 61.86 points at 37,249.67.
