The department has purchased smartphones of Samsung<\/a> Company costing around Rs 9,500\/each and total worth of Rs 1.81 Crore to be distributed among as many as 1,839 Anganwadi workers and 72 supervisors. The delay in distributing the smartphones is attributed due to administration\u2019s busyness in making required arrangements for the NRI and Global Investors Summit<\/a>.

So far, the Anganwadi workers have been making entries of their routine works in 12 registers along with posting the same on the central government\u2019s SAMPARK App<\/a> using their own mobile phones.

<\/div><\/div>\u201cAnganwadi workers are being paid Rs 200\/monthly to recharge their mobile internet to make required entries on SAMPARK app using their own mobile phones\u201d WCD<\/a> district programme officer Ramniwas Budholiya<\/a> said, adding that under the central government\u2019s scheme, a total 1,911 smartphones have been bought to distribute among all the Anganwadi workers and the supervisors.

As per the official source, the process to buy the smartphones was started around four months ago and was completed in two phases around one-and-a-half months ago. \u201cWe have planned assembly constituency wise programmes to distribute the smartphones by the ministers and local public representatives that will start in this week\u201d he said.
