State-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited<\/a> (BSNL<\/a>) has written to the heads of its telecom circles to identify sites and related materials for the installation of 4G nodes, Financial Expresss reported on Wednesday.

The circle heads are told to submit the details to BSNL headquarters by December 15 so that timely action can be taken, considering that the trials will be completed by December 31, 2021.

The state-run telco was earlier expecting to conclude the trials by October 31, 2021.

“The proof of concept is likely to be completed very soon. Immediately, thereafter, this office is planning to initiate the procurement of 4G equipment through successful PoC vendor,” BSNL corporate office said in its letter to the heads of telecom circles, according to the publication.
