New Delhi: Vodafone Idea<\/a> on Monday said it keeps talking with various banks about its funding and other requirements in the normal course of its business, including with State Bank of India<\/a> who are one of its main bankers, but there is no fresh development as yet.

“As of now there is no development, which would require disclosure under the SEBI Listing Regulations. The Company shall comply with its obligations under the SEBI Listing Regulations as and when any such requirement is triggered,” the loss-making telco said in a notice to stock exchanges.

It was replying to a clarification sought by the exchanges on a media report which said that the cash-strapped carrier may get a loan from the State Bank of India.

The telco’s stock ended 2.4% lower at Rs10.09 on the BSE Monday.
