Shares of Tata Communication jumped further 5 per cent in Thursday's session after East Bridge Capital Master Fund and University of Notre Dame acquired a stake in the company via bulk deals.

The stock was up 5.06 per cent at Rs 275.10 on BSE. Tata Communications<\/a> shares had closed 13 per cent higher at Rs 265.90 on Wednesday.

East Bridge Capital Master Fund and University of Notre Dame DU LAC bought 44,00,000 shares and 15,01,740 shares of the company at Rs 235 each.

Fidelity Investment Trust Fidelity Series Emerging Markets Fund and Fidelity EME Mkt Collective Pool sold 63,79,338 shares and 15,14,997 shares each of Tata Communications at Rs 235.01 each.

As per the shareholding data, Fidelity Investment Trust Fidelity Series Emerging Markets Fund held 2.34 per cent stake in the company at the end of December quarter.

The company is a leading provider of global digital infrastructure services, including undersea fibre cables terrestrial networks.
