HYDERABAD<\/a>: Bullish on Telangana, US-based global software solutions provider<\/a> Techwave<\/a> has lined up aggressive hiring plans for its sole global development centre (GDC<\/a>) at Hyderabad.

It eyes a quadrupling of global headcount from the existing 2,500 employees to 10,000 by 2025 and a 2.5X growth in topline from $105 million in 2021 to $250 million by 2025 as it charts eyes acquisition of not just customers but companies too.

The Houston-headquartered company’s Hyderabad GDC comprises not just two facilities in the city but also one in Khamman and a proposed one in Warangal. It has about 50 techies in locations such as Bengaluru and Mumbai but they too are clubbed under the Hyderabad GDC, he said.

“We currently have about 1500 techies in Hyderabad and 250 in Khammam. We will be adding another 300 techies in Hyderabad and 500 in Khamman this year, where we have our own 30,000 sq ft facility under construction. We will also be expanding to Warangal by third quarter of 2022,” he said.

The plan, he said, was to take the Khammam and Warangal centre headcounts to 1,000 techies each by 2025 and have the remaining 6,000-odd techies stationed at Hyderabad. Elaborating on global hiring plans, the Techwave chairman said the company plans to up global headcount to 3,500 this year and quickly increase this to about 5000 in 2023, 7500 in 2024 before hitting the 10,000 employees mark in 2025.

Techwave was founded in 2004 by Gummadapu along with his US-based sibling
Rajasekhar Gummadapu<\/a>, who is co-founder and CEO. The company caters to 10 sectors such as banking, financial services & fintech, life sciences, healthtech, telecom, logistics, retail and manufacturing, across five continents through three key business units — digital transformation, business services and engineering services.
