<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>NEW DELHI: Homegrown telecom gear maker Tejas Networks<\/a> has named Anand Athreya<\/a> as the CEO and MD designate of the company, and he will join the company effective April 3.

“Mr. Atherya would be appointed as CEO and MD post all regulatory and shareholders approvals,” the company said in a late evening regulatory filing Wednesday.

This is since the company’s present CEO and MD,
Sanjay Nayak<\/a>, has decided to seek voluntary retirement from the services to pursue other personal interests.

“Mr. Nayak would step down from his role as CEO and MD by the next Annual General Meeting of the company. The Board of Directors has considered his request and accepted the same. The Board placed on record their appreciation for the contribution made by Mr. Sanjay Nayak, during his tenure as CEO and MD of the Company,” Tejas Networks said in the filing.

Athreya joins Tejas Networks with over 25 years of experience in the
telecom equipment<\/a>, networking, and software industries.

Before joining the telecom gear maker, he was the Executive Vice President & Chief Development Officer of Juniper Networks since 2017 and served as Senior Vice-President of the Routing Business Unit for 3 years prior to his current role. He was with Juniper Networks from 2004 until November 2022.
