However, shares of Reliance Communications<\/a> (up 2.22 per cent), Tata Teleservices<\/a> (Maharashtra) (up 0.39 per cent) and Sterlite Technologies (up 0.13 per cent) were trading with gains in the telecom index around that time.

Benchmark BSE Sensex<\/a> was 11 points down at 34832, while the NSE Nifty50 index was 21 points down at 10,720.

\nAmong the 50 stocks in the Nifty50 index, 13 were trading in the green, while 37 were in the red.

IT stocks including Infosys, Wipro and Tata Consultancy Services<\/a> were leading the Sensex index.

\nReliance Industries, Coal India, Tata Steel and Tata Motors were among the top drags on the Sensex kitty of stocks.
