MUMBAI: Tata Sons, headed by new chairman N Chandrasekaran<\/a>, may bring in chief executives of some group companies on its board as it looks to beef up operational expertise at the group board level.

\nTwo people with direct knowledge of the plan said induction of group CEOs will help the new chairman plan and allocate capital better.
\n
\n“We would like to have more representation from operating companies on the board,” one of the two persons said. “We have an option to raise the strength to 15 over a period of time.” The new board members will be appointed over a period of time after Chandrasekaran, known as Chandra, settles into his role and identifies the right kind of talent.
