LUCKNOW: On the occasion of New Year, telecom major Telenor India has announced two new value for money products - STV7 and STV 5 for its UP East customers. While STV 7 will allow the users to make STD calls at reduced rates of 30 paise per minute with a validity of 28 days, the STV 5 will allow the users to enjoy 15 minutes of all India (local as well as STD) calls priced at just Rs 5. \nKC Narendran, Circle Business Head- UP East, Telenor India said, “During the holiday season there is an increase in long distance calling as customers call their dear ones living in different parts of the country to extend their New Year wishes. These new STVs give huge savings for Telenor customers as they come with reduced STD call charges.”

\nCompany said that with the new brand name, it will establish itself in the industry with a fresh brand promise through its tagline ‘Ablife full paisa vasool’. Recently, the company launched free life insurance cover for its customers, claimed to be first-of-its-kind initiative in the telecom industry and has over 12 million customers enrolled for this scheme.

\nLast month, Telenor also launched the entertainment service packs. Customers can avail unlimited video downloads during night time and watch them at their leisure with off-line video packs. The company also offers affordable music streaming packs to its customers. Telenor has over 1,00,000 retailers and 400 exclusive stores and serves nearly 11 million customers in the UP East circle.

The company launched it services in 2009 and till recently was known as Uninor in the market.
