India’s digital ecosystem is poised for a complete makeover that is bound to boost connectivity infrastructure with a massive volume of data traffic. The Built in India Virtual Summit organised by ETTelecom.com and Telecom Infra Project (TIP) on the 21st July 2021, is structured with a view to putting together India’s joint efforts comprising world-class experts, dynamic policymakers and thought leaders from the industry coming together to explore how India is planning its road to a transformed network ecology. The summit will explore the capabilities of India's rich domestic telecom ecosystem, and how it is preparing to cater to the country's fast-growing data needs. Powered by Telecom Infra Project technologies, some of the biggest questions surrounding India's telecom domain will be answered.
The summit will also bring into focus the government’s vision and offer an opportunity to discuss broader national objectives for digital connectivity, Indian manufacturing, and job creation.
It’s important that we look at the innovations brought by open and disaggregated technologies, such as, OpenRAN, OpenWiFi, as the future. Delving deeply into them, several panellists will explore these topics, and discuss what type of next-generation networks will be needed to unlock India’s digital potential and domestic capability, and how industry and governments can work together to ensure success.
Here is what one can look forward to:
The packed schedule will get underway with a panel discussion on which speakers will explore next-generation telecom networks that can support India’s economic growth and build domestic capability.
1. The participating panellists are Ashwinder Sethi, Principal, Analysys Mason; R Shakya, Deputy Director General, Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications, Government of India; Dr. Rajkumar Upadhyay, Executive Director, C-DOT; and, Robert Pepper, Director - Public Policy, Facebook.
