The Uninor branded van in the Gorakhpur zone will travel across Gorakhpur city, Maharajganj, Deoria and Hata to educate people about the benefits of internet. During its journey, the van with 'Dekho Seekho Internet' message will also offer a free experiential internet pack to the consumers for a day.

Limited (Uninor) said, “As a company focused towards driving 'Internet for All', we are committed to empowering our customers through Sabse Sasta mobile services. We realize the importance of educating them on mobile internet and help them make the right choices. We hope that this initiative will be useful for our customers.”

\nTo take the initiative forward, the company has appointed trained promoters called 'Internet Gurus' at the van. These 'Gurus' will demonstrate the usability of some popular internet services like Facebook, WhatsApp, citizen services through government portals apart from explaining them the features and benefits of using Internet on mobile.

\nUninor claims to hold third position in terms of customer market share and fourth position with 9.1 percent revenue market share (RMS) in five years of operations in the UP (East) circle. Currently, Uninor has 26 percent of its customers on internet across six operating circles.

\nUninor's pre-paid GSM mobile services are commercially available in the six circles of UP (West), UP (East), Bihar (including Jharkhand), Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat. Together, these circles account for more than 50% of India's population, the company said.

\nUninor's three-pillar strategy of being the best in basic services, mass-market distribution and low cost operations has helped the company grow to the 4th position in customer market share in its operational six circles. In 2013, the company achieved the fastest break-even in just 4 years of launching its operations in India.
