<\/figure>NEW DELHI: Viavi Solutions<\/a> Thursday said it is collaborating with Capgemini<\/a>, a French IT services and consulting company through Capgemini Engineering in Portugal to deliver a 5G<\/a> and O-RAN lab test capability, powered by Viavi\u2019s O-RAN Lab as a Service (LaaS).
5G open networks need to provide the same or better performance than traditional networks so that telecom operators can reap benefits from the high-speed, low-latency networks and reduce costs associated with network infrastructure. Also, new entrants in the supply chain pose challenges for operators as open networks depend on various types of radio and manufacturers.
In order to address the increasing demand for 5G and O-RAN validation, the companies have collaborated to ensure a successful network integration in 5G open environments.
<\/div><\/div>Viavi said its test tools will allow in-depth measurements and performance testing of gNBs, core networks, core network components, and O-RAN subsystems.
