NEW DELHI: Videocon<\/a> Telecom<\/a> has slashed outgoing roaming<\/a> call rates by 50 percent.

Videocon Telecom consumers can now make local outgoing calls at 50p\/minute, and STD<\/a> calls at 75p\/minute on roaming across the country.

\nThrough this one of own kind offering, Videocon Telecom consumers by using a special tariff voucher of Rs. 45, can now enjoy outgoing local calls while roaming across the country at 50p\/min instead of the earlier Rs. 1\/minute and can make STD calls at 75p\/min instead of Rs. 1.50\/minute, and enjoy 20 mins of free incoming calls per day instead of 75p\/min, for 2 weeks.

“Despite not being a PAN India<\/a> player right now, we have rolled out this unique proposition offering 50 percent off on Outgoing calls while roaming across the country, which even the PAN-India players have not been able to do despite having their own network,” said Arvind Bali, CEO and Director Videocon Telecom.

\nThe telco reckons that it will be bearing a cost for offering such proposition. “I feel this is an investment in the brand for long term returns,” Bali added.
