In the last one year,
Vodafone Idea<\/a> said it has added over 660 new sites, added capacity to the existing 6,201 sites, and augmented spectrum in all 11,000 sites in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

These network enhancements will enable its customers to stay connected at all times, said the telco in a statement.

“In line with our ongoing campaign, I would like to extend an invitation to all mobile phone users in AP&T to enjoy a superior, upgraded network experience with 2x faster speeds on
Vi GIGAnet<\/a>,” said Siddhartha Jain, Cluster Business Head, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, Karnataka, Vodafone Idea.

“As we continue our endeavor towards 5G readiness, we remain committed to offer the best products and services enabling our customers to thrive in a digital world,” Jain added.

The telco claimed that the deployment of additional 1800 MHz on all 11,000 sites and additional 2500 MHz on over 3,000 sites has enhanced speeds for
Vi customers<\/a> in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

'Vodafone Idea paid only 10-30% of licence fee, SUC for December quarter'<\/a><\/h2>

As per details available with ET, Vi is believed to have paid around Rs 80 crore as licence fee and Rs 15 crore as SUC for the quarter. The company’s payments for the previous two quarters averaged around Rs 600-800 crore for licence fee (LF) and about Rs 250 crore for SUC. Telcos typically pay 8% and 3-4% of their adjusted gross revenue (AGR) as licence fee and SUC, respectively.<\/p><\/div>
