Vodafone Idea’s SNOC monitors and controls its vast network and service offerings to over 334 million subscribers.

The enterprise services company added that it further plans to streamline telco’s service assurance processes with the HPE Intelligent Assurance solution in addition to the expansion of SNOC’s existing robotic process automation (RPA) as it transforms into a digital service provider.

India’s market leader Vodafone Idea’s SNOC is located in Pune, and remotely monitors 192,000 2G sites and around 372,000 broadband (3G+4G) sites across 22 circles.

\"Vodafone Idea is undertaking the world's biggest telecom network integration and creating India’s most advanced, secure and cost-efficient network,” said Vishant Vora, Chief Technology Officer at Vodafone Idea Limited.

Vora added that the telco was partnering with the global vendors and equipment suppliers to deploy innovative, new age technologies to deliver a rich customer experience.

“This partnership with HPE is a step towards bringing artificial intelligence solutions in our network,” telco’s senior executive said.

The California-headquartered enterprise information technology company’s next-generation OSS solution, according to the statement would help solve Vodafone Idea’s business challenges by offering innovative solutions that could also address them from a revenue, cost and efficiency basis.

\"HPE started the OSS journey with Vodafone in India more than ten years ago, and we are now selected as Vodafone Idea’s partner for their new consolidated OSS platform, which includes our machine learning-based HPE Intelligent Assurance solution,” said Phillip Mottram, Vice President and Global Lead, Communications and Media Solutions, Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

On the back of heightened rivalry after the foray of pure-play fourth-generation or 4G service provider Reliance Jio in September 2016, Vodafone Idea is undergoing a digital transformation.

The Mumbai-based telco has narrowed down the loss to Rs 4,878 crore while its subscriber base declined to 334.1 million from 387.2 million at the end of the March quarter.
