<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea<\/a> Thursday said it has deployed the efficient 900 MHz spectrum on 3,043 sites as well as 1800 MHz band on 11,772 sites in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, respectively, to boost indoor 4G<\/a> connectivity for its users.

“Vi customers in commercial\/residential areas of Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Raipur, Ujjain, Bilaspur, Dewas, Dhar and other important towns are experiencing enhanced voice and data experience even indoors in high population pockets of these cities,” Vodafone Idea<\/a> said in a statement.

Additionally, with 4,200 new TDD sites, 730 HOS, the data capacity has increased to 2.4 times between September 2018 to May 2022, Vi claimed.

Vodafone Idea has 92 MHz spectrum across bands – 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, 2300 MHz and 2500 MHz, representing a total holding of 31% in the circle.

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India<\/a> (TRAI<\/a>) in association with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs<\/a>) and Vodafone Idea has initiated a pilot project on the deployment of 5G<\/a> small cell and aerial fiber using street furniture in the Bhopal smart city to understand challenges in small cell deployment in smart city projects.

“We have undertaken multiple initiatives over the past year to widen our 4G coverage in the circle as well as strengthen indoor network coverage across cities. Vi customers can choose from a bouquet of choice plans that allow every member of the family to do more and get more on Vi’s 4G network,” said Abhijit Kishore<\/a>, Chief Operating Officer, Vodafone Idea, in a statement.
