\nThe company has deployed 2327 new 3G and 2G sites all over the state in the past 12 months, strengthening and expanding its network across multiple regions of West Bengal, in the process bringing 38,000 villages within its network.

\nVodafone India has launched five global design outlets in Kolkata and its fringes Wednesday, in its bid to boost retail presence and enhance distribution and reach in the city.

\nVodafone’s global design stores will offer a uniform array of services through specially designated sections such as a 3G zone for experiencing mobile internet, the Vodafone Red zone, where customers can get a lowdown on postpaid offers to the M-pesa zone to catch the latest offers on the telco’s mobile money transfer service. These global format retail outlets will also include self-service kiosks for bill payments and recharges and a red box to help customers transfer content from a low-end handset to a new age smartphone. In addition, Vodafone customers in the city will also be able to choose from a wide range of Zoo Zoo merchandise, ranging from dolls to mugs, from the \"take me home\" section in these internationally designed stores.

\n“Simultaneous launch of five global design stores on a single day in Kolkata is led by the company’s customer centricity focus,” said Anand Sahai, Vodafone India’s business head (Kolkata & Rest of Bengal), in a media statement.
