$\"\"$ NEW DELHI: India’s second-largest telecom operator Monday installed additional network sites at the premier All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS<\/a>) to enable patients and visitors communicate with seamless voice and data connectivity.

To ease connectivity and support the requirements of the visitors, Vodafone<\/a> installed 8 additional sites around the AIIMS complex, the telco said in a statement.

\n\n\tBased in New Delhi, AIIMS is India’s leading medical institute and it is estimated to get close to 10,000 patients per day from all across the country and with a minimum of two attendants per patient.\n

\n\n\tVodafone has invested more than Rs 350 crore to modernize and upgrade existing voice and data network in Delhi.\n

\n\n\t During the period of April-October 2015, Vodafone has put up over 730 3G\/2G sites in Delhi NCR, while the capacity of the existing 550 sites has been augmented.\n

\n\n\tThe telco maintains a total of 12,605 sites in Delhi NCR which includes 6,190 2G sites and 6,415 3G sites.
