\nThe research firm added that Xiaomi slipped to the second position with 10.1 percent vendor share with shipments declining to 30.6 percent in Q1 2017 over the previous quarter.

\nThe entry level segment, according to study, is led by GoQii followed by Xiaomi.

Rival Fitbit<\/a>, according to IDC, maintained third spot in CY Q1 2017 even though shipments were declined 42.7 percent sequentially.

\nIDC said that San Francisco-based Fitbit’s new lineup of product launches in the coming quarter ahead of the festive season would be expected to revive the vendor's shipments.

\nIndian market witnessed total shipments of 612,000 units of wearables that includes smart wearables running on third-party apps, and basic wearables which cannot run third-party apps.

\nOther wearable vendors maintain 64.1% share.

\n“Less than US$50 segment continues to dominate the category accounting for 78.6 percent of total wearable shipments in CY Q1 2017,”
