Do you have plans to tie up with telecom providers for bundling 5G plans with new phones?
<\/strong>
We have been working closely with various telecom operators for over two years now and have extensively tested most of our models for usability. This gives us the confidence that we will successfully be able to support and lead the rollout of a 5G solution to millions of our users. Our devices<\/a> will be ready for both SA & NSA networks, depending on what the operators will roll out across circles. Specifically, to enhance the user experience, we have worked on enabling multiple EN-DC combinations so users can seamlessly operate with LTE (a 4G standard) and NR (5G). In our approach to enabling 5G, as a priority we will ensure that 5G is interoperable with earlier 4G\/3G networks so that users get a seamless experience. With 5G coming in, we are focusing on enabling similar features on the NR bands like VoNR (Voice over NR), ViNR (Video over NR), etc.
What kind of 5G products aside from smartphones are in the works?

We believe that 5G will play an integral role in making our devices future proof and enhance consumer efficiency. 5G with its ultra-high bandwidth, low latency and concurrency will open up many more opportunities and avenues for AIoT (artificial intelligence of things) devices. Xiaomi India will continue to focus on innovation for everyone and bring relevant products that can leverage the advantages of 5G and add value to the consumers.
How many 5G smartphones are you planning to launch ahead of the festive season?

We have launched over 20 5G-enabled models till date across our product portfolio. We plan to offer 5G devices across all feasible price points. With the strong belief that 5G is important for making our devices future proof, especially when India is on the verge of migration, we will continue to strengthen our product portfolio with 5G offerings at honest pricing.
What are the key features that will complement the 5G support in smartphones?

With the 5G auction now complete and the government's efforts to ensure its roll out by the end of the year, we expect the consumer demand for a well-rounded smartphone equipped with 5G to only increase.
